10/9/2006		15% water change this weekend. Calcium at 380, Alk at 8.0 Have decided to drop target alk to 8.5 and calcium to 400. Dosed 15ml Kent Liquid Reactor this am, after testing levels. Will check levels again tonight. UPDATE: Adding Kent Liquid Reactor (twice! again at 5pm) had zero effect -- calcium in free fall, as is magnesium. Have to raise magnesium at this point, it's too low and is making balanced alk/ca impossible. Dosed 15ml of Salifert Liquid Magnesium to try and stabilize Mg. Also dosed 3 drops of Lugol's Solution and 7.5ml of Kent Coral Builder.
10/5/2006		Checked Alk, Ca, Mg, pH & SG first thing in the morning. 15 ml of Kent Liquid Reactor dosed last night didn't hold levels. Mg is a bit low, could be affecting Ca. Already know that KLR isn't much good at holding Alk levels. Decrease/difficulty w/ Ca levels started at the same time I raised Alk, connection?
